International Constructional Steel Conference 2012
Malaysia is fast moving toward an era of high-tech construction, building major networks of transport, financial districts, and new centres of diverse activities for children, tourists, health and education. Industry players are actively pursuing high performance outputs that are strategically aligned with the growing need to be sustainable.
Green construction is a major element in any outstanding construction project. Needless to say, creating complex structures that are sustainable is not without its challenges. For this reason, Malaysia's two primary movers of constructional steel – the Malaysian Structural Steel Association (MSSA) and the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) are joining forces for an inaugural International Convention themed: ‘INNOVATION AND TRANSFORMATION IN CONSTRUCTIONAL STEEL.’
The conference will expose opportunities as well as showcase iconic structures and landmark projects from renowned companies. They include:
CCDI's sports venues including the Beijing Olympics Water Cube
ATKIN's Shimao Intercontinental in Songjiang and the World Trade Centre in Bahrain
New Zealand's Innovative Architectural Design Solutions
Opportunities in Virtual Modelling of Green Construction
Roadmap on IBS
Bluescope’s Smart Design in Decking
A Tower Twisted
Transforming Malaysia into the Asian Oil and Gas Powerhouse.
