Job Description

  • Plan, execute and undertake experiments and research works
  • Perform data compilation, results analysis, technical evaluation and report writing
  • Good knowledge on case study research methodology and different range of research methodologies
  • Ability to manifest in research application tool such as simulation & modeling  
  • Draft research instruments, such as questionnaires, and editing draft reports;
  • Conducting, or commissioning then analysing, in-depth interviews with members of the public and large-scale data sets;
  • Ensuring that research is conducted within a set time frame to meet the research output 
  • Ensuring quality control of research;
  • Working in close partnership with external researcher
  • Producing both written and oral briefs based on reviews of research evidence;
  • Responding to external and internal research enquiries from colleagues, government departments, academics, local councils, regional development agencies and members of the public;
  • Explaining complex ideas and findings in a way that can be easily understood;
  • Delivering presentations at conferences
  • Perform other works pertinent to the job


  • B. Eng / B. Sc. / M.Eng / M.Sc in Built Environment, Construction and Project Management, Architecture, Facilities Management, Economics, Quantity and Land Surveyors, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Statistician (or equivalent) from a recognized university
  • Experience working in R&D environment
  • Willing to learn and keen in R&D works


  • Posses good communication skill in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Good technical writing in both languages
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Able to understand work requests and instructions efficiently
  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
  • Willing to work in group, able to communicate with lab colleagues, flexible and able to undertake wide range of duties
